ABOUT
Drew Lord III Construction, also know as DL3- specializes in custom homes, renovations, and commercial projects—with the experience and versatility to handle much more.
Founder Drew Lord was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, where construction ran deep in the family. His grandfather started a local commercial contracting company in 1975, and his father continued the legacy. Growing up, Drew heard plenty of business talk around the dinner table. Still, he chose a different path after college and enrolled at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama.
Drew spent four years practicing insurance defense litigation across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, followed by a return to Pensacola to focus on construction litigation. After five years in the legal profession, Drew realized his true passion wasn’t in law—but in building.
So, he took a leap.
Leaving the legal world behind, Drew returned home and joined his family’s business as an assistant project manager, later becoming a project manager. Looking to grow further, he moved on to work with a large commercial contractor in Panama City Beach.
Over the years, Drew has led a wide range of commercial and multi-family residential projects—including schools, hotels, apartment complexes, and lodging facilities.
His mission with DL3 Construction is simple:
